DuraTec-rotor
DuraTec rotors are generously dimensioned and designed for the toughest applications. Clever technical details enable reliable operations combined with maximum convenience.

Tine arm bearings placed in a large distance of 20 in / 510 mm

The rotor transmission is encapsulated and runs in a sealed grease bath.
The cam track and control mechanism is encapsulated dust-tight without lubricant. As a result no oil checks or oil changes are required.
The big advantage: no oil leakage problems.
The cam track is made from a high quality globular cast iron and has a large diameter for smooth and precise cam roller guidance. The cam track is infi nitely adjustable so it can be set exactly to match the operating conditions.
Because the large diameter cam track does not have steep inclines the cam levers are operated smoothly and without jolting or jerking.
The steel cam rollers are fi tted with sealed bearings for a long service life.
Large diameter control shafts for extra durability. A gap of 20 in / 510 mm between tine arm bearings guarantee the best stability. Proven Pöttinger technology backed by years of experience.

Tine arm bearings as far away from hub as possible to ensure the highest stability: especially important on bumpy ground.

The heavy-duty rotor transmission
is submerged in oil, and on the EuroTOP 421 and 461 is completely sealed - no maintenance required. Large diameter gear wheel guarantees smooth running and a long service life.

The additional jockey wheel and chain top link provide a genuine three-point contour tracking system near the point where the tines contact the crop.
Top tracking ensures tidy swathes even in adverse conditions.

TOP work, higher working speeds with EUROTOP tandem axles

With the wide axles and wide wheels near the point where the tines contact the ground, the best possible ground tracking is guaranteed: no jumping or scratching on uneven ground or on slopes.
Four large balloon tyres compensate for any big bumps.
The staggered wheel axle system ensures that the rotor moves up and down only half as much as with single axles or conventional tandem axles.
The crop remains clean and the stubble undamaged even at high forward speed.
The angle of the axles can be adjusted easily to ensure tidy work in all conditions.

MULTITAST - Raking up front

The level compensation of the frame and front jockey wheel guide the windrower with precision over uneven ground. A knuckle joint ensures that there is sufficient freedom of movement to the sides. A stabiliser prevents oscillation during transport.

Unique hybrid drive
Pöttinger has developed a unique hybrid drive technology: four-rotor rake

Hydraulic drive at the front, mechanical drive at the rear.
The working width can easily be adjusted from 31.17 to 41.01 ft / 8.0 to 12.50 m.
Raking around obstructions is no problem.
The raking width can even be adjusted while working thanks to the pivot wheels.

From the fi eld to the road without leaving the cab

The hydraulic drive of the front rotors enables the extending arms to be pivoted inwards for a transport height of only 13.12 ft / 4 m without removing tine arms or folding safety guards. Annoying setup times are therefore a thing of the past.

Tidy and protective raking

The tandem axles are fi tted with large 16 x 6.5-8 pivoting wheels.
The Multitast ground hugging wheels with anti-wrap guards are fi tted as standard in front of the rotors and – together with the fl oating rotor suspension – guarantee precision guidance of the tines over undulations.
Because the tandem axles are adjustable, the angle of the rotors can be adjusted precisely to the operating conditions in just a few minutes.
Pentagonal chassis (5 wheels) for inside the sweep of the tines available as an addition to – or instead of – the external Multitast ground hugging wheel.

Operating comfort

One double-acting remote is for lifting the rotors and two double-acting remotes are used to adjust the working width.
An especially convenient electronic Power Control terminal is available as an option for lifting the rotors individually and adjusting the rotor height hydraulically.

TOP 1252 C – with new features
The four-rotor-rake for profis

The rake is one of the most important links in the whole harvest chain. The working width and raking quality need to be ideally matched to the harvest machinery. For many contractors and large farms, the rake driver is the most important person in the whole harvesting operation. If mistakes are made during raking the productivity of the whole harvest convoy is affected - that costs time and, more importantly, money.

With the TOP 1252 C (working width of 8.0 to 12.5 metres), Pöttinger offers a 4-rotor rake in the highest professional class. Pöttinger rotary windrowers are the guarantee for excellent working quality. Perfect ground tracking and careful crop handling guarantee quality forage and outstanding productivity in the stall.

Pöttinger has upgraded the TOP 1252 C rake even further for the coming season. Three LED work lights are now available for the 4-rotor rake with ISOBUS-compatible Power Control system. These LED lights ensure best illumination of the work area for minimum power consumption. Two LED floodlights are mounted at the front point towards the front rotors while the third is mounted to the rear to illuminate the swath. The work lights can simply be switched on and off using the Power Control terminal; the floodlights switch off automatically when the machine moves into the road transport position.

The TOP 1252 C is equipped with compressed air brakes as standard, offering maximum braking performance at high driving speeds. However, in the field the braking force is often too high; the rotors are on the ground and the weight acting on the main frame is alleviated. It can then happen that the rake brakes too sharply, which is a problem for farmers who use their 4-rotor rake on slopes. That's why this season all TOP 1252 C rakes with air brakes are fitted with a braking pressure regulator. The braking pressure regulator is engaged using the rotor lifting system. Braking pressure is reduced automatically when the rotors are brought from the transport position into the work position. The braking pressure is increased again automatically when the rake has finished a field and is brought back into the transport position. The correct braking force is always applied as a result, without the driver having to leave the cab or even think about it. Pöttinger again applies its slogan: make things easier for yourself.

The 4-rotor Top 1252 C rake delivers both proven technology, such as the Multitast ground-hugging wheel, as well as unique innovations: Hybrid technology (hydraulic drive in front, mechanical at the rear) featured on the Top allows the extension arm to be folded in for a transport height of just 4m without removing any tine arms or folding the safety guards. Time-consuming reconfiguration between jobs is now a thing of the past: you can move from the field to the road without leaving the tractor cab.
No oil check or oil change is required with the dust-tight encapsulated control unit because there are no leakage problems. Even the rotor transmission itself is encapsulated and runs in a sealed grease bath. The control shaft and cam roll can be removed quickly and easily if required by simply undoing just two bolts. High stability is ensured thanks to the wide spacing of the bearings on the tine arms.

The highest level of comfort is provided by the ISOBUS-compatible Power Control system, which takes the strain off the driver, thus increasing efficiency. The TOP 1252 C is available with hydraulic height adjustment for the rotor units. The height adjustment system is operated using the Power Control terminal and allows each rotor to be adjusted individually and the desired height to be saved. The current working height of each rotor is displayed on the monitor screen, giving the driver the highest level of comfort and user-friendliness.
