Autocut gets sharp on English loader wagons

15,000 visitors at Grassland & Muck 2011

This show, which already has a long tradition, was held between 18 and 19 May at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire / England. Almost 15,000 visitors keen to keep abreast of the latest forage and manure developments packed the aisles and demonstration plots at Grassland & Muck 2011. This two day event is held every three years in central England and is designed to give manufacturers such as ourselves the chance to showcase our products in a working environment. There was however one thing in short supply this year and that was grass! After 5 weeks without rain the Pöttinger UK working plot was at best only 30cm high proving no real challenge for the machines we were to demonstrate.

This year also heralded the largest ever line up of Pöttinger machines which saw us working across three different plots with our partners New Holland, Merlo and our own.

Despite the lack of grass we managed to draw large crowds every time we performed a working demonstration with many visitors keen to see the latest developments from Pöttinger. There was particular interest in the unique „autocut“ on board knife sharpening as fitted to the Jumbo forage wagon. A practical sharpening demo was carried out after each and every harvesting demonstration which prompted many question and enquiries about the system.

We had two very busy days talking with existing and potential customers and look forward to welcoming you back to Stoneleigh in 2014.
