'Love is in the air' at Pöttinger
A brass and choral 'Windsingspiel' at the agricultural engineering centre
Pöttinger supports the annual Upper Austrian Exhibition by making its modern customer centre and display area available for a number of special events. From 13 to 15 May the agricultural manufacturer was host to cultural patrons and top politicians from the town council and provincial government: Heinz Pöttinger welcomed the mayor of Grieskirchen, Maria Pachner, and the governor of Upper Austria, Josef Pühringer, as well as many other VIP visitors.

The first in a series of cultural events took place on Thursday 13 May with coverage on national television and radio of brass bands and choirs from the Grieskirchen area. Heinz Pöttinger said in his interview: "If you meet a smiling farmer anywhere in the world, you can be sure he works with Pöttinger machinery. And if so many people are smiling at the same time, you can be sure it's because they are sitting in the Pöttinger display area." A musical highlight was presented to the visitors on 14 and 15 May with a brass and choral "Windsingspiel" - the musical comedy "Liebesluft / Love is in the air" - especially written for this occasion. A Pöttinger loader wagon became part of the story in the role of a space shuttle during this surreal mix of real backdrop supported by brass music. As one of the VIP visitors jokingly pointed out, "If this musical reaches Broadway then the loader wagon space shuttle will have to be part of it". The attractive surroundings contributed to making the event a real experience: around 1,500 guests were impressed by the Pöttinger spirit. The Customer Centre, which normally serves as a meeting point for customers and sales partners, became a point of contact for culture in tune with agricultural machinery.
