Pöttinger dual windrowers

Ultimate ground hugging technology

Machines determine the quality of a forage crop. Pöttinger focuses on the needs of farmers in developing a full range of grassland technology.
Careful forage handling has top priority at Pöttinger. Windrowing with the lowest levels of disintegration and minimum contamination delivers an energy-rich crop and a cost-effective feed basis. That is what Pöttinger windrowers are designed to do.
Pöttinger centre-mounted windrowers are known for their uniform and airy swath placement. The classic centre-mounted rake has a fixed working width but is available with mechanical or hydraulic working width adjustment.

The Top Tech rotor – the heart of the windrower – is responsible for controlling the action of the tines. Precision components combined with robust materials ensure a long service life. A quality feature built into Pöttinger windrowers.

This manoeuvrable machine is equipped with a robust main frame. Both rotors are height-adjustable - guaranteeing fully independent ground tracking of each rotor. The Multitast wheel in front of each rotor provides perfect ground hugging. The wheel is located just in front of the point the tines contact the crop. This enables the tines to be guided over the terrain without scraping the ground. The service life of the control unit and tines is extended as a result. The height and position of the Multitast wheel can be changed using a pin-in-hole adjustment. This system achieves consistent raking quality at speeds in excess of 15 km/h. Statistically speaking, systems without the Multitast system scrape the ground 35 to 40 percent of the time. Inevitably the ash content increases as a result. A survey carried out by the Chamber of Agriculture in Weser-Ems, Germany, confirms Pöttinger's industry-leading position: forage processed by Pöttinger windrowers was the cleanest by a long way.

Perfect in every situation

A top quality tandem axle creates a very smooth ride and improves performance on slopes considerably thanks to the wide wheel spacing.
