Farming group Balsiger & Dummermuth go for Pöttinger quality!
The farming group Balsiger & Dummermuth in Greng (Fribourg) owns six Pöttinger machines: two mowers, a rotary tedder, a windrower, a Servo 35 Nova 4-furrow plough, and Vitasem A301 with LION 3000 seed drill and power harrow combination. "The quality of Pöttinger machines is what makes the difference, as well as their ease of use and robust design" is what both farmers say.
| The farm is set in beautiful surroundings and has a total area of 85 hectares; 30 of which are pasture, 13 silage maize, 30 grain crops and 12 natural meadow. "The harrow/seed drill combination is excellent for sowing the pasture. The SAX seed coulter delivers very precise depth control. The LION 3000 power harrow also works very well on rocky subsoil without stones getting jammed. This is a very important point because we have many stony areas to work on. One set of tines lasts about 180 hectares and wear is very low", say Urs Balsiger and Urs Dummermuth. |  |
