Welcome to Cereals 2007
Vine Farm, Wendy, Hertfordshire, England 13/14th June
Held this year at the 1,405 Ha Vine Farm, Wendy, Hertfordshire, Cereals 2007 proved to be a busy show for Landmec Pottinger. With an attendance at the show of 21,000 there was a terrific amount of optimism amongst farmers. Recent increases of over 40% in prices for cereal crops have lifted the mood amongst British farmers and this was certainly evident in the large amount of interest in cultivation equipment.
Landmec were celebrating its first year of sales of Terrasem seed drill in Great Britain but the show also saw the British launch of the Terradisc and Synkro 1003 series of cultivators.
The impressive Terradisc 5000K mounted disc cultivator took pride of place at the front of the stand and drew a large amount of enquiries. Visitors were particularly impressed with the build quality, large diameter discs and huge under-frame clearance.
Also attracting a lot of attention was a Synkro 3003 cultivator and many farmers looking for a multi purpose cultivator were interested in the ability of the Synkro 3003 to work deep or shallow with its detachable wing shares.
The Pottinger name continues to grow in strength in the tillage machinery sector in Great Britain and this was reflected by the amount of enquiries and interest we received over the two days of the show.
